I Used To Spend Alot Of Energy On Being 'Invisible'

When I first started coaching, I wanted to work out a way forward professionally after a really bad experience. I was interested in coaching with Lavinia because of the inner work she’d done on the ‘mother wound’ and archetypes and because she mentioned on her website that she supported women in creating a happy, flexible life. This rang so true for me as I wanted to find a way to be the mum I wanted to be, whilst also using my creativity and skills productively beyond the home.

Before our first session I felt mainly anxious and unsure. I wasn’t sure what to expect but hoped for a process and found Lavinia definitely had one and a very good one at that. By the end of that first session I was excited that I could use my skills in a way that would serve both me and others.

The changes in me have definitely been noticed by those around me. I used to spend a lot of energy on being ‘invisible’ and no longer feel like doing that. The biggest change I’ve witnessed in myself is knowing what I want to do and what I’m interested in, which in turn has affected every area of my life. I never thought I could pursue this route but, with Lavinia’s help, realised that it was ok to start small and continue from there.

If I had to describe my transition coaching experience in 3 words, they would be: incredible, affirming, transformative.

Lavinia is an amazingly adaptive, creative and intuitive coach, and I’d like to say a great big thank you to her for walking this path with me and for giving me the support to bat my self-doubts and internal counter-arguments away.
